Who?
Kevin Kiruthi
Age: 15
Kevin finds holding his phone 2 inches from his nose helps his concentration when playing SnakesKevin, originally in the back up team, has received a call up to the first team through his enthusiasm, energy and impressive attitude towards the cause. A final year GCSE student, Kevin attends Stratford based Rokeby School, just down the road from the future site of the London Olympics.
Apart from school, Kevin is a regular at the Swift Youth Club and so understands only too well how much it could do with some extra funds. He is also a talented Drama student, not only studying it for GCSE but leading the way at the Swift based drama group. He also has a talent for journalism, something he's kept well hidden but can boast groundbreaking articles for his school magazine and many other (small) local publications.
On the physical side Kevin is yet another talented footballer to emerge from the pool of talent that can be found kicking around on a Friday night at the Swift. He currently plays for Pro Hawks, an east London based youth team, and remains indespensible to his school side, frequently carrying them through matches.
Kevin's also at the centre of a new Friday dancing phenomenon, taking place upstairs in the Swift once a week including most of the Drama group who's club precedes the session.
All in all Kevin will be a good source of comic relief when the going gets tough and a valuable member of the team.
