Who?
Matthew Crisp
Age: 17
Matthew's first attempt at body-popping was not as good as we were expecting...Matthew, the younger sibling of Daniel, had very much followed in his brother's foot steps up until the age of sixteen, attending Brampton Manor Secondary school and acquiring excellent GCSE results. Now in VI form he's taken a slightly different route, choosing to study some of the hardest A-Levels known to man in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Business Studies at NewVic Sixth Form College.
An ever present feature at right back in the Morden Baptista first eleven, his reliability compares to that of Gary Neville. Rumour has it that West Ham came in for him amid the current relegation battle to end their defensive troubles but despite the urge to help out his favourite team he sadly had to turn them down due to his desire "not to take any backward steps career wise."
Matthew is an old hand when it comes to the summer camp, attending more years than he is years old (this year will be his eighteenth time despite only being seventeen). He is revered as one of the most trustworthy and knowledgeable campers on the site, surpassed only by his brother, and he retains this reputation throughout the year. Matthew also joined the advance / retreat teams for the first time in 2006 and will feature for many years to come.
In between education and football he works hard at his former school, Brampton Manor, where he is employed with friend and Bike Europe team-mate as a casual cleaner, where together they are attempting to scrape together the funds for this trip.
As if it wasn't already long enough he adds music to his long list of talents. Drums and piano mainly but he's not adverse to a bit of singing, albeit breaking out in song a bit less than Simeon.
A keen cyclist, Matthew has found his bike riding opportunities somewhat restricted owing to the sustained workload A-levels bring - this summer is the perfect chance to put that right!
