No, we’re not doing it because we’re a bunch of crazy masochists on a mission to prove our masculinity to the world. There is a reason behind our madness: We are raising money for two very deserving causes.

Dominica Work Camp 2008

In Summer 2008 a team from the Swift Youth Group based in east London are travelling to Dominica to do all sorts of nice, selfless acts like building and refurbishing schools, working in the community and maybe playing the locals at the odd game of football! To make this trip possible we need to raise money which is where you can help.

Swift Youth Group

As well as raising money for the Dominica trip we are also aiming to raise money for the Swift Youth Group itself. Since long before any of us were born (even John) the Swift Centre has hosted various groups from the Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Brigade, to the Open Door Theatre and now the Swift Youth Group. Offering drama, sports, dance, music, fun and friendship the Swift Youth Group is a vibrant Friday night club catering for Newham’s teenagers.

We have all been involved in the Swift Youth Group for many years and we would like to give something back to help it continue its good work for many more years to come.
